Located on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt, this new mixed-use development includes two five-star hotels, apartment towers, office towers as well as a commercial mall anchoring the southern end. Stretching over a kilometer in length and with a 15-meter vertical difference between both ends of the project, landscapes were designed to respond to the various floor levels of the stepping architecture while maintaining a readable interconnection of spaces and pedestrian accessibility. Security was another important design consideration for the project with requirements to maintain a completely secure perimeter and access points for screening of vehicles. The landscape and architecture teams worked closely to confirm space provisioning for the exterior spaces and adapt the architecture accordingly as part of the master planning.
